Gordon County Sports Hall of Fame
The inaugural Calhoun-Gordon County Sports Hall of Fame class includes 14 athletes and coaches the Board of Directors says made significant contributions to the community. The local Sports Hall of Fame was formed in April 2014 to honor citizens who brought positive recognition to Calhoun and Gordon County as athletes, coaches or others in sports-related fields. The induction ceremony is set for Aug. 15 at Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s Calhoun facility. Our very own Coach Diane Smith, Coach Hal Lamb and Coach Chip Henderson are included in the 14 that will be inducted into this Hall of Fame on Saturday.
